Oil leak?!?

So the other day I noticed some smoke rising out of my hood scoop after driving my car. Now normally after I drive it, I let it run for a few minutes to allow it to cool down before shutting the engine off. But I had a CEL flashing at me, so I wanted to plug my AP in and find out what it was, it turned out it was just the gas cap loose, so no biggie. But I started the car and let it run for a few minutes to cool down and the smoke went away. It was just smoking because it was burning oil off. After looking into it, it appeared that it had leaked around the top banjo bolt where the oil line bolts to the turbo. I checked it for tightness, and it was tight, so I thought maybe it was because I didn't let it cool before shutting it off. It appears to still be leaking a little from somewhere. I haven't lost too much oil, but there is some that has dripped down from the turbo area. It's just weird that I have had the turbo on there for 4-5k and never had any issues before. So anyone have any opinions?? As of now, it looks like I'm gonna have to pull the turbo to investigate!!

Oh that things JUNK. Time for a 20g.

Haha you funny!!! This turbo is almost new!! And I can't afford a new turbo plus a tune!!!

Oh yeah, and there is no smoke coming from my exhaust, and hasn't smoked since that day.

I'm goin out in a few to rip out the turbo to see if I can find the issue. I'll post up what I find!!!!

Are you wet on the cold side prior to the turbo? Might be some blow by, but doesn't typically produce under the hood smoke.

Smoke makes me think hot side though. Not typically a good thing.

To clarify, it the turbo itself wasn't smoking, it was smoking because there was some oil that leaked onto the turbo and was burning off.

But anyway. I took it out and found no real leaks or anything. I tightened the clamp around the turbo, and any bolts. After burning off any coolant I leaked when I took it out, it seems that all is good. Seems that something must have been loose, and when it was hot it allowed something to seep out. I took it for a couple drives and let it run for quite a while and all is good for now. And hopefully it stays that way!!
