oil leaks...........

well...the 98 lgt looks to have a pretty bad oil leak.... it seems to be coming from behind the timing belt cover.....leaking down to on to the exhaust causing it to smell really burnie.. :crybaby2:..once we get it checked out I'll update.......wish I could take a couple pics but the camera died.

My bet is on cam/crank seals

any guesses on how much cash is involved in this process?

Whatever the seals cost. and if your timing belt is due, it would be a good time to change it.

Seals are 8-15 bucks, cause of 92% of leaks from behind the cover..theres also piston pin access plugs. Those leak sometimes. just remove, clean, and slobber some RTV on them and re-install. Subaru stores have them in stock

its ended up being the oil pressure switch... replaced and now good to go! :thumbsup:
