this lovely gem sits in my bay currently after she failed msi...actually blew part of the gasket out and began leaking all over the exhaust.....didnt get the go ahead until about 4pm today and its a 6hr job....ive got the pan unbolted and dropped but it appears the front diff is going be a problem....so im wondering if any one has done one before...does the diff need to be pulled out for the pan to clear? ill be working on it again SUNDAY due to vips "huge tire sale" and me being required to be there...ughhhh

that sucks......i think i got screwed on time......ill take a good look at it tomorrow morning.....7am woohoo and figure out the plan.....

so i said no thanks to pulling the motor.....found it easier to pull the axles and drop the diff a foot or so....diffs held in by 4 bolts and made plenty of room for the pan to come out.......heres the good part.....put all back together, put in right side shaft...shorty and then left...long shaft and she wouldnt go in, tried the usual tapping, banging etc and still no go.....took a good look at the shaft and noticed the snap ring was gone from the shaft.......wtf looked down the axle tube and there she was...pressed up against the gears...wtf..never seen that before.....grabbed a long magnet from the store and went fishing.....the magnet actaully pulled off the end of the tool and stuck inside the shaft......so i ended up having to pull the axle shaft out of the diff, 4x4 gear actuator and coverd in diff fluid. got stuck with some other projects and didnt get it finished......crappy sunday at vip...i need a new job
