gonna be sending out a turbo in a couple weeks for a P&P job. both are within $15 of eachother. Deadbolt has a great reputation, and has been around forever.

Grimmspeed seems to be coming into their own as well.

so, imagine it was your baby. which would you choose?

Does the fact Deadbolt does not answer emails, answer phone calls, have a convict on thier homepage or shenanigans it looked like the pulled last year slightly skew UR vote?

I would be very careful before I sent anyhting to them, regardless of conversations or not.

would U add these guys to the poll?(look down!) I think it is who STiNate used and more than likely where my turbo will end up....

I don't need to imagine it is my baby, my baby is back in Turbo ICU...

I'm pretty sure dead bolt went tits up. I like the PnP job that was done on the grimmspeed manifolds I purchased. Plus grimmspeed customer service is really good.

^ i agree, i have spoken with grimmspeed a couple times, and they took the time to address all my questions, without trying to rush me off the phone. the only reason i might hesitate to deal with them is that they dont offer the balancing/clipping/rebuilding services.

I love grimmspeed but when it comes to turbo's blouch is the only choice. Just send it to them.

Fyi deadbolt is 100% out of bussiness

I have a deadbolt U can try out if U like... it may mess with UR mapping a little bit and pass a few "extra" pieces it isn't using anymore.

i just sent an email to blouch. i'll see what they have to say. hopefully the svc i'm looking for doesn't cost what i paid for the turbo

i was going through my old posts, and realized i never followed through with this thread.

as previously mentioned, i sent my VF23 to Blouch. It was Disassembled, inspected, Ported & polished, and returned to me, all within a week. the price was more than reasonable, and they kept in touch throughout the process.

currently the turbo has been on the car for about 2k miles, where it seems very happy. in turn, making me very happy.

Cliffnotes: Turbo went to Blouch, they did a great job. the end.
