Ive had my legacy since january, and ive replaced the pass. side lo-beam bulb like 5 times now.

Whats the deal? I have noticed, the majority of 4th gen ob/legacys that are "padiddles" its the pass. side bulb that's out..

Not Subaru related, but I've noticed that there is an issue with Chevrolet/GMC trucks and their daytime running lights doing the same thing. I asked a co-worker of mine (who has a GMC truck) and he mentioned that there was actually a recall on the truck lights. Perhaps there is something similar with these model Subarus?

Other than that, the only other thing I can offer for advice is when you replace the bulb again, nail it with some lithium grease to prevent moisture. Sounds like they might be shorting out prematurely?

just went through alldata and didnt see any tsb's for the lights....are you sure the connector isn't corroded or burnt....you're not touching the glass of the bulb are you?

@craig- where do I apply the lithium grease? And after I do so; my lightbox wont randomly combust will it? Not trying to sound dumb but I do know lithium grease is REAALLLYY flammable

@carter- were you in gray on thursday? If so I waved atcha. And nope, havnt heard or read about a recall.

@matt- I go all mega nerd and throw on a pair of rubber gloves when I change my lights, for extra insurance

I was thinking about h.I.d's... But... I dont want to spend good money on a kit and have bulbs (or worse, ballasts) burn out on me every few months. Mabey the ballast itself would fix whatever little issue I have? Im not sure.. To put it in perspective.. A teacup pomeranian would probably understand electricity better than I.

^thanks! I saw that thread on lgt.com awhile ago but forgot. Ill have to try that

Anybody have input on h.I.d's and my issue?

Plug and play kits. eBay is plentiful and cheap. I spent like 35 bucks on mine, replacement bulbs are cheap.
