Although I will say that Reed Well services came out same day and had me back up and watery by around noon.

Nice guys too. True honest and good Mainers. Kind of refreshing.

well I guess it is good that there wasn't 4' of snow on the ground when it died.

We burnt one up when our well went dry the first time in 1993. They are pretty rugged, though. My parents' pump is going on 30+ years. We had a new one put in when they drilled our new well a couple months ago. Pretty much put it in and forget about it.

Glad the Reed guys done good. We have used Stanley Hillock in Gorham. Good bunch of guys. They dealt with my wife the whole time and pretty much gave us a pump after drilling a 750ft well. Our new well tested cleaner than our old one, much better water recovery, and the guys were done in two days. Momma is happy.

Ah the joys of home ownership. You should be set for the next 20 years. I personally believe your much better off with your own well and not on town water.

At my house we have a special slow start one because of our inverters can't take a HUGE spike. Lightning took it out 2 summers ago.

It's only a 150' well, so my dad and I bought a new pump and replaced it ourselves. It wasn't that bad. Lot cheaper than paying someone to do it.

oh well...

ours is down at 430'. I would probably have a bit of a problem getting pulled up. but now I don't seem to have the pressure we used to.

gonna have to call him on Mon and see what the deal might be. I really hope it isn't a pump with the wrong volume.

That's a deep well! Wow.

Is your expansion tank getting up to the right pressure?

To be honest I am not sure.

The guy has to come back to put on a new well cap anyway. I will call him and maybe there is something that go overlooked during the install when it was 5*F outside. It happens.

Well pumps come in two ways. One model for shallow wells and another for deep wells. If your guy put the wrong one in he shouldn`t charge you for replacing it !

yeah I am not having drasticaly bad pressure, just a bit less than we were used to. Which was better than any well I have ever had before.
