A/C Compressor - The belt will spin all the time, but the "center" will only spin when the A/C is active. It's an electronically activated clutch if you are wondering.

ok just making sure

It's got no tensioner pulley on your AC belt, and 2 bolt holes for one. Unless it's different than it was in 2002 with my car. If your belt doesn't squeek though, you're all set.

Hopefully it's been updated. The genius at Subaru that thought up using a threaded piece of plastic for a belt tensioner must've been fired.

well get this..... actually the 08+ cars dont even have a tensioner at all on the ac pulley. its a slip fit belt that cost about $70 because it comes with a tool to jump the belt on.

when i added a lightened crank shaft pulley i had to cut mine off. but i bought all the parts and added the tensioner and the cheaper ($15) belt.

Your pulley not moving means the car is no longer any good.

Please bring it to my house and I will dispose of it for you, for free.
