Radar question or why cant i be like shorty

I was comeing home from OOB ,through gorham and heading north on route 114.There is a long stretch going up a hill before phinny lumber.7;15 am ,no cars in site,so i wind her up going up hill[love the neg g force thing]Anyways ,i crest the hill and there is a gorham cop.. :evil1:.. going the other way.I let off the gas and check the rear view.. :glasses9:. and see his break lites.All this time my radar detector is silent.I decide not to evade him [bang down a side road]while he is turning around ,so he hits the blues and pulls me over.He says he got me going even faster, But will drop it down to 64 in a 50 and do me a favor.He goes back to his car ,runs my clean record,next thing i know my radar detector is showing kaaa band radar.When he comes back i ask why my radar did NOT pick up his pressence back on the road and why can i recieve it now,he smiled and said it wasnt his problem.....I think he new i was speeding but didnt have his radar on.That why he let me off with a lesser offence....My detector is a top of the line escort,and it always lets me know well in advance of a visual spoting....SO ...What are the chances of fighting this ticket and winning??Is there radar that i cant detect,AND why cant i be like shorty and get my wrist slaped and sent home??

 
Been there, done that. I told the DA the cop didn't have me on radar because my detector didn't go off. I had two charges, one for tint, one for speeding. The DA said, "well, I'll drop the speeding charge then."

Easy sleasy. Sorry for your pain and suffering though. :evil1:

Do you think the judge would accept the excuse.. :dontknow:..I just went stage 2 and this is my first real test drive... :violent5:..
 
get your court date. dress nicely. show up on time. talk to the DA after the judge asks the group of assembled criminals "who wants to just plead guilty or who wants to talk to Mr. DA"

Stow your attitude in back pocket when talking to the DA, they have heard every lame excuse in the book, and if you go "that effin pig liar dickbrain nazi cop is trying to screw me" guess what will happen.

DA's job is to secure simple convictions, and choose when to fold when things aren't so simple. don't accuse the cop, just raise doubt about the radar part of this.

if you show up in court and play the charade, you got a 50-50 chance of getting off on the bogus radar; if you don't show up (or try to blow smoke in there), you have a 0% chance.

that is all.

 
Reminds me of the time I got pulled over in

Mass. The cop already had someone pulled over and was 50 yards from his car. I come around the bend and he starts waving at me to pull over.i gave him the WTF? Routine and he let me off with a warning. To top it off I had the cruise set on 72.
