Random CELs

So I keep getting random CELs for no apparent reasons. And it's starting to annoy me...

Last week I was driving in rain and CEL comes on. I immediately checked it with my mounted SG2, and I have a list of all the codes on my MP3 player.

It was P0500 - Vehicle Speed Sensor Malfunction

Except the speedo was working fine, and the speed on the SG2 was fine too. So I'm not sure what was up there... It wouldn't stay cleared till I restarted the car.

Next one was 3 days later, P1594 - Automatic transmission diagnosis input signal circuit malfunction.

This one confuses the hell out of me because my car doesn't have an automatic transmission. And never did.

Then today I was cruising along the highway at 80MPH, CEL popped on. P0304 - Cylinder 4 Misfire Detected.

I didn't notice any performance drop or anything like that. No hesitation or bucking/whatever. Cleared it, and it refused to come back. Steep up hill at high RPMs at WOT, etc. Nothing will make it come back.

There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the car. Turn the key and it starts up and runs great. I haven't noticed any performance drop, or anything like that.

So what's up with my car? Is the computer turning into gramps and sheetin' the bed? Maybe a gerbil has the munchies in my wiring harness?

my father-in-law's explorer started throwing a bunch of bogus codes before the ecu crapped out. he put a ton of money in it replacing the stuff it said it was wrong, when it was the device telling him that had the issue. find junkyard ecu and try that?
