random rough idle

So lately I've been having a small issue with my OBS, after it rains and the car sits for more then around 24 hours it wont want to run. It wont stall but when I give it throttle it just bogs and throws a CEL. also if I take the car through the car wash it will do the same thing. The only thing I haven't replaced recently in the ignition is the coil pack. but I don't see how that would be getting wet? I know internet diagnostics are hard but could someone point me in the right direction? I'm kinda stumped.

Yeah, coilpack sounds about right. The damn things are finicky, a bit of moisture or too hot and they don't work. You could put some dielectric grease in the connections to double check.

I fourth the coil pack motion. At night, catch it when it won't run well. Or if it's running fine take a spray bottle and spray down all the ignition stuff. Coil pack, wires, etc. You should get a spark show eventually, and that's where the problem is.

I had a plug wire chafing, and causing it not to run when damp out. Threw a new one on there and it's good to go.

If it is the coil pack leaking spark out from a plug boot or something. It's too late to grease it or whatever. The carbon traces have been made.

Check what the CEL is, that will narrow down to exactly which cylinder is having an issue.

double triple check plug wires, esp check their resistance, too. I had a long struggle with a misfire, turns out it was a bum plug wire (replaced by previous owner only a year earlier, so I never suspected it)
