I went to a place called "one steel" in bangor, lo and behold these morons tried taking the catalyst western star muffler ($1800 a piece) as a muffler only, and one moron even claimed it was just a muffler...and not a palladium cat.

at approx 100-120 pounds a piece just as junk, it would be quite a score to recycle.

as six workers gathered around I could guess two of these muffler pays for their beer for 5 years....how many steel recyclers does it take to unload palladium?

does anyone know of a professional no bullcrap recycler in maine, or NH or mass.. I will drive to gain a couple hundred. If I am not mistaken, for a vehicle, it is THE most exotic element known to man.

you could always try msr recyclers in waterville or winslow area

hey will do.

the bangor area is quite bizarre in every way. from the hampden nuclear dump pretending cars don't melt near it,

to recycling pc electronics (I just got rid of a tv and monitor I had for 11 years by freak chance of finding a recycle posted in the paper)

the precious metals stuff sitting around is the strangest ever...and the attitude as if I did not know what I was doing. I am the last one in my family attmepting to live here...

I have yelled about entire locations and bailed, I may do it again.
