well it comes with a factory skidplate.

You will NEED the following for sporty driving:

Solid or stifened engine mounts (improves shifting)

Bilstein HD shocks (or something else stiff)

seatbelt lock (I assume that this still has the auto seatbelt)

I worked for a SAAB specialist and retired works rally driver for a number of years. if you have questions, let me know.

no auto seat belts (thank god) and ill start with the shocks this spring and I will ask more thanks man

those saabs make a lovely rally cross car ran two different 1991 Saab 900 for two year. the weak link is definitely the transmission.

I wish it was a 5spd but its not ive seen lots of pics of them rallying and the transmission on them are crap

oh it's an auto?

The swap isn't that bad. you can get the parts in a junkyard easily.

You need:

Console

shifter

linkage

trans

mounts

clutch

flywheel

New clutch slave

clutch master

brake pedal assembly

Takes the better part of a day to do the swap. only a couple special tools involved, but they are fairly easily made.

There's a Saab guy near Lewiston/Auburn apparently, GClark should have more info since he owned a Saab for like two seconds.
Ahemmmm, It was more like, a month.

There is a Saab dealership on 196 when you head into Lisbon. They do have quite a selection of parts.

*but*

They tried to sell me a Saab that wasn't supposed to have any rust. On closer inspection, I could see bondo cracking in the rear quarter panels. No thanks.

My dad's business partner was ripped off by them several times. Why he went back to the same dealership or how they ripped him off I don't know...

The lead mechanic came and checked out my Saab that I was selling. He didn't notice the noticeable rust everywhere, and deemed it a car that could be put on the road for cheap. Nope.

So be warned, not the best dealer around. I'd stay away.
