N/A All The Way!!
I was looking at the extended forcast for Easter weekend in the Augusta area (not too reliable, I know) and saw that Saturday the 3rd is looking really good...upper 60's and partly sunny. I thought that it would be a great day for me to do the annual spring waxing of my car....my little way of getting it summer ready. If some folks want to get together and do a clay bar, a couple coats of wax and everything else that goes along with this, let me know and maybe we can get together for this. I don't know where or when...just a feeler to see if anyone is interested.

That reminds me, I want to do some protective stuff this spring... Don't think the 90 minute drive time total up and down in addition to cleaning/waxing would fit with my homework. I'll probably just pressure wash it and be done with it.

im ganna be telemark sking that weekend no love for the sub till theres no more snow to turn on!
Tele skier eh? I am an avid telemark skier! We should ski at Sunday River/Sugarloaf/Saddleback when I get from Utah. Hey wanna buy some tele skis or bindings? I have 5 pairs too many and need money for a car project hahaha.

would love to do this but wife is dragging me down to mass for the weekend for easter events

Four hours of washing, clay barring, polishing and waxing I'm done for the summer! Here is the grand result...

Toot toot irony mobile. Car looks good.

I did my car today, just soap and water and rinse. I needed to clean the inside more than the outside...

Also used the 3m headlight restore kit since my folks conveniently got one to their Grand Cherokee headlights.

Clean!

I'm in the process of doing mine too, only it doesn't look as good as yours. Wash with Turtle-Wax soap+wax stuff, I had to buy it because it had a WRB bugeye on it. Then dried it and used buffing compound (red/brown flavor) on some nasty spots where idiots at the High School scraped me and on my hood. Found out my hood was too far gone to do much to. Rinsed the red stuff off and started turtle waxing. I've got the front up to the fenders and the driver's side done.

Those wheels look great btw. And I think I'll be getting one of those hood wind deflectors to hide the nasty paint condition at the end of my hood.

Thanks guys. Ryan, the advise really helped! The pictures really don't do it justice...I'm not much of a photographer. The bug deflector thing might do a good job at hiding some rough paint spots...it created some nasty sports on my finish though so keep that in mind.

This is about as good as my car is going to look for the year...I'll do the quick detailer/spray wax once every other week or whenever I remember.

looks good man! and it's funny you painted your hella covers black like mine. i shined mine up today, i didn't know there was that much metallic flake on my car! i got really wierded out when i could see reflections of stuff in my paint.

Yeah, its amazing what a lot of free time, good products and solid advice can do for a car....I just don't want to fall in love with a clean car too much. It gets to be a pain to try to keep it looking as good as it does this weekend.

yeah i wanted to take mine to eg's spa, but the woman won't let me spend the money on cleaning my car when i haul around chainsaws and a powerbroom at least once a week.

but it's wicked shiny nowView attachment 2905
