previous owner made my cf hood semi functional if you will.....doesn't lead to anything but still takes in the air....with winter coming...yes winter... what do you do about slush and snow getting into/onto the engine bay/throttle???? is there a diy block off i can do??

Well the stock hood scoops/vents all drain into the engine bay, but just through a single hole in the block-off. I'll try to take pictures of mine today in case you want the holes in the same place.

Slush shouldn't get that high though. Maybe snow if you're plowing a parking lot after a storm.

Kinda what i was thinking. It's a big hole and serves no purpose but since my engine bay is fairly clean I'd like to keep it so. I'll take a pic of the scoop and what not. I think I'll have figure this out.

you really shouldn't be getting too much other than melted snow in the scoop. and if you're worried about salt/calcium spray when the roads blacken up, what salt and calcium we've put down is pretty dilluted by the time the roads are black and wet. and not much of it will really get in the scoop

No issues with snow as we all said. I fear the car wash more now though. Water + ignition coil = arching electrical system.
