actually it was the lack of stuff stuck under there, such as lug studs, and a wheel. he hit turn 1 and stopped, it looked to me like the shady heli-coil inserts he used to attach his lug nuts pulled out under the cornering force. that caused the brake caliper to snap off, and the wheel to come off, and the wheel spacer to snap. i dont know if he got extended lug studs so he could use the spacers or what, but either way it was a bad idea to use a band-aid fix to attach the wheel on a race car.

The paint was gorgeous. There was a bunch of real nice machinery there. There was an older BMW 535 that was the cleanest car ever. The old 911 stole my heart though.

Here a a few my wife took. Boy my run sucked I got so lost on the back side in was embarrassing. At least I got to see how the Hankooks went and they stuck GREAT.

I believe he took top honors in his class. You'd be surprized to see it got. That guys one crazy dude.

That 535 is my neighbor, and I went to high school with his son.

BTW... No one ever takes pictures of my car!!! WTF lol

 
well me and you have to be at the next autocross again anyway, so i'll make sure to get some then.

This car was in at Patriot today. Owner looking to buy...guess the Mini-S wasn't fast enough?

IIRC, that Mini was purchased for CHEAP because it previously in a bad accident, and most of the left side is repaired with body filler. If that is the one belonging to the guy I spoke with, then I am correct. He was looking for a way to put a magnet panel on there, but there wasn't enough metal surface to do it...
