Has anyone had troubles with their shortshifters breaking???? I bought one last December from Evergreen, and it snapped on me on my way to work today....right above where the ball goes into the socket. made for interesting shifting techniques to say the least...haha.....it wasn't a kartboy, can't remember who made it, but much to Evergreen's credit, they are replacing it with a kartboy. I didn't think I was slamming the gears THAT hard

LMAO, Why is slamming of anything necessary? The car does everything for you, throwing the shifter that fast is just gonna save you .025 seconds or something like that. On a drive to work, I don't see that being necessary. That being said, I have a Kartboy and love it and I am not easy on my car, but I don't break stuff to save .025 seconds, lol.

Now maybe if we were on one of our group drives... maybe I could see this happening, ha ha.

I think he was kidding about the slamming of gears...

Definitely kidding. I honestly don't even use the clutch. Takes to long. Slam it in and go.

Went to Evergreen tonight and picked up my new kartboy, it was an Agency Power short shifter that broke. I think it was beyond fair for Evergreen to replace it for free, it being 13 months since I bought it. Nice place to do business with every time

Ok ok, I concede, it can happen. I broke both shifter cables in my old car. Glad these things dont use cables.
