Current setup: Invidia V3 Catted downpipe- Cobb SS Catback.

My exhaust seems a little. ....blah lately. im thinking of going catless to bring out the rumble. . . .but then i think, maybe i should just get a different exhaust alltogether to liven things up. i kinda like the looks of my cobb though.. .. hmmm

discuss.

I no help.

A vid of said exhaust would be useful too

i dunno. it sounds almost congested with the cat. . .and its a bigass cat too.

i dunno, i cant help but imagine its both acting as a muffler (sound wise) and it must be creating some sort of backpressure, although im not sure its enough to make a difference.

looks like this

I'm running a maddad cat-less to a perrin twin pipe. She's pretty loud and rumbley, i love it!

For you, i'd say start with cat-less cause cat-less DPs are cheaper then new cat-backs. oh and i have one FS, hint hint.

I've read that when people put a cat back in for inspection time they become very disappoint with sound/performance till they take the cat back out.

I would recommend cobb products.Im running thier full exhaust system with the high flow cat.no mixing and matching of parts here.the COBB R@Dcant be beat....and the exhaust note is perfect.

Don't go catless! Keep that one high flow cat in the DP. IMO, it makes the exhaust note sound much better (deeper), and keeps it from sounding raspy. Some back pressure on our turbos is a good thing too

Catless vs. catted gains are minimal to none, and it's just not worth it IMO.

removing the cat is not going to help out on the sound that much a diff. catback is were the sound isyou should just buy marks n1 and sell your cobb for a profit.the cobb is going to quiet cause that's the way its made

buy my dynomax axleback ftw!!! or do like i did and build an exhaust the way you want it:idk:

i've always found it easier to build stuff myself at 1/2 the price and 500% more satisfaction

ooo oooo oooo. I KNOW! EL headers FTMFL. haha.

no wonder the rumble is missing. now that being said.....

jami's car sounds amazing, as did marks.

marks is available. sell yours and buy marks now!
