Small vinyl rip on door

So I don't know how the hell it happened but I have a very small rip (size of a pen point) in the vinyl on my drivers side door. I know they make a lot of those vinyl repair kits/leather repair kits. Anything you guys recommend? I really just want to fill it so it doesn't get bigger.

The repair kits work, especially on tiny holes.

Be VERY careful, it's messy and not always easy to color-match.

I have a leather couch that has "leather match" (vinyl) around the base.

It ripped (big) during a move, and the vinyl repair kit saved the day.

You can still see the gash if you really look, but it's not noticeable from 6', and it's beeeg. A tiny hole should seal easily, it's the matching (Black isn't "black" enough, etc.) that's a bee-atch.

good auto parts store will have kits.

which kit is less important than prep work before repair. biggest enemy of vinyl repair is....armor-all or other protectants that inhibit adhesion of the repair goop or tape.

clean around ripped area with alcohol swab thoroughly before starting repair.

if cleaner swabs come with kit, use those instead.

^Damn I use a lot of armour all

I dunno if this helps but when I worked for a car detailing shop for a while we had a person that would come once a week and fix that stuff for us. She was good. She could fix cigarette burn hold in carpet or cloth, tears in leather and rips in vinyl. A tiny hole should be minor. Be happy you have vinyl, its more forgiving than the hard plastic in the new interiors on the 09s. When you scratch that (and its easy to scratch) that's it, nothing you can do except replace the whole panel!

I picked up one of them cheap repair kits with the different colors... worked better then I thought!
