Someone filled the wrong tank!

well I filled up on Sunday at the local place with 93. Or so I thought. I only drove the car to work and back that day (all highway). well tonight it starts acting weird, bucking every once in a while (2-3k rpms). So I pull her off the highway and hit the gas station... grap a bottle of Octane booster and top her off with some 93.

That F-ing pisses me off. I payed 2.7x for some freaking regular! and I thought my car was having issues... although I was surprised that I didn't throw a code..

That will teach you not to pump your own fuel...lol ;D

Good thing they didnt put diesel in it

Always look on the brighter side

ps- have Kimmy call me about the gas cap if she still needs it!

yeah either that or it was the bottom of the tank and it had a ton of water in it. The gas station didn't even have any dry gas. So I dumped some octane booster in there and filled it (~1/2 tank)

and since then it has been fine

sounds like water....all of this melting that we've had...it wouldn't surprise me

it's a good reminder to everyone to drop in a bottle of drygas this time of year....

mobil in Saco was out of 93, wonder if its a mobil thing.

Some granny in Westbrook bought our old Baja-t, she never puts high octane fuel in, never has any issues that she knows of.

I'm sure granny doesn't see much boost

.

Pedro probably just a bad tank of gas. The 06 WRXs have a timing floor that makes them run more timing then they should from 2300-3800 rpms, so if that was the only place the car was acting strange you were just feeling the car dynamically pulling timing.

yeah sounds like it. it felt like a fuel cut tho. more dramatic than just jumping off the skinny pedal. so it sounds like it.
