First of all I agree with you the 08 4 cyl coupe is a tiny car that leaves a lot to be desired. This is a different animal. The 09 Gt convert has a much more stiffened frame and a suspension to match. This model has traction control a defeatable stability control and an upgraded exhaust system. It is not meant to compete with any Subaru, they don`t make a convert.By far one of the worst cars I have ever rented. sorry to whoevers car this is but the car was so bad I actually took it back to Hertz and made them give me another car. Sad thing was the one I rented only had like 100 miles on it so it was almost brand spanking new.
sounds like Mitsu treated the Spyder to midlife upgrades sort of like Subaru did with the 08 Rex to the 09s--looks like same old same old outside, but WAAY diffrent underneath where it counts.
and every company sells its bottom of the barrel strippers to be used in fleet service.

It is not meant to compete with any Subaru, they don`t make a convert.I am a Subie nut like most on this forum but no matter how far I twisted my sons arm and he`s been to 3 of our meets, he wanted a convert. He use to have a 99 Mustang convert with Cobra wheels and tires. The current upgraded machined wheels are 18x8 and ride on 235/45/18 tires. He plans on getting M 3`s or D`s for the winter to mount on these wheels and get chromed pro drives for the summer.
