I just got a little post card in the mail today saying that SCC is no longer going to be published after Feb..

Very bumed out.

:crybaby2:

Bummer,hunh? I heard about that,too.

Hey,at least you have a bunch of my old issues to flip through! :occasion14:

Evan has the rest.

Turbo Magazine also got the axe, I heard. I bet European Car doesn't last, either. Primedia is making big cuts.

I think print magazines in general are being phased out for online mags. I like the speed of news online, but I'll always be a fan of actually holding a magazine in my hands and flipping though it, and taking it wherever I want. Maybe if they become extinct,I'll have a goldmine, though, with all of the Rubbermade containers I have full of them. I could open a freaking library archive with these things.

phew, good thing i just signed up for eurotuner and not european car. i would be pissed if it were getting axed already.

i was just thinking about all the SCC's i have sitting from matt. between all the mags i signed up for this year, and the fact that i have less spare time at work now, i was thinking it might be time for them to move out.

want to recomplete your collection matt?

Haha...yeah,what the hell,I'll take 'em back. Can't hurt to have a few hundred more mags lying around! They'll seem like new to me again. I'm done at Bean's this week so I'll have more free time to swing by. You can check out the Integra finally, too.

Nailman.....SCI being cancelled hurt my feelings even worse. That was my second favorite mag next to Evo. That's what they get for having integrity and not filling the pages with ads and crap like usual...... :crybaby2:

Have you guys checked out the new Performance Car magazine? It's really good. Pricey like all of those Brit mags, but it's almost a good as Evo,better in some regards (they haven't cut the print quality yet).

Rumours of the death of print mags are highly overrated.

it's a challenging world out there in print no doubt, but if your mag has good content that the readers find of actual value, things are OK.

if your mag is a thinly disguised 'suck-up to the advertisers' kind of thing, it's bye-bye. that crap doesn't fool anybody. SCC had degenerated badly over the last couple of years and neeeded either an injection of better quality stories or to be euthanized for its own good.
