spt intake torque loss

I was wondering if anyone had a hp tq graph of the spt intake for wrx? When I put mine on I noticed the low end tq suffered slightly, but on the street it wasn't that big of a deal, however this weekend at the rallyx I noticed the lack of tq bigtime. I could run the entire course in 2nd but the revs dropped to 2500 a couple times and I was stuck waiting. I must admit I got frustrated and gave it some pretty evil clutch kicks to get the turbo spooled, wich was fun, but not nice. Anyway, I am thinking about putting the stock airbox back in to get back my low end tq, but would like some real numbers. Please don't explain the problem to me I am well aware of the reasons behind the tq loss, just curious what the hard numbers are, or if anyone has been in my situation and what their verdict was. Thanks.

the stock air box will keep the filter cleaner as well.

but that low end loss isn't anything that can't be tuned out of the car.

I actually found that regardless of intake, if I got below 3500 rpm life really sucked until I got back above it, I think its less the filter and more the nature of a WRX.

bingo, dere's de winning answer.

learn to use poor man's trac control for rallyx...keep yer right foot planted, turn the car with brakes (left foot) and keep them revs up. on the typically tight NER rallyx courses it might be faster for you to stick with 1st gear much of the way. hitting rev limiter a few times sounds slow, but it's faster than bogging in 2nd.
