I agree x2 +1 to the fifth power.

Fix holes on the outside, cops can see those. Bondo is your friend, and cheap enough.

 
I do not need a private pm for inspections.

the thrill of making a soob the size of a yugo wagon cross the threshold of 3000 pounds with 60k psi of 140 hours mig welding has been a real joy...

and ya know? an inspector will have to start making things up like last years phony "bad wheel bearing" call.

Most know where real lines are drawn, pun intended. Just do not over do it,pushing boundaries on your own call if not knowing for certain. it puts real builders of old stuff in a lot of prejudice....a reason many machines are no longer with us: the hick pushing his own junk with poverty and own rules.

luckily subes are dynamical, they go a long way with imperfections.
