stolen hids

hey guys, a buddy of mine who sells hid kits on the side had his house broken into at some point last week and had 8 sets of hid kits stolen, that's 16 boxes and 16 bulbs. It was located in his attached storage shed, more like a barn though that was locked. Only the boxes and bulbs were stolen and the packaging was left as is, he never knew it was gone until he went to retrieve them for a customer and found everything gone, he usually pays up front for the kits and recieves payment after install so hes out roughly 400 dollers. If anyone sees someone selling random kits, no packaging let me know as he would like his property back. He lives in the standish area.

That's terrible

I can't believe some "person" (I use the term person loosely here) would do that.

Hopefully he's stupid enough to post it all for sale on craigslist or something and everything turns back up.

I'm so sorry to hear this. If I see anything I'll keep you posted.

man, people suck. ...

i'll keep my fingers crossed that things work out for the best. and that justice of some sort is served. either official, or street.

good luck!

No one strikes it odd that some one just took the time to take the HID kits and nothing else? Kind of seems it was something that the burglar knew where there way before hand. What I am trying to get at here, how many people actually knew where it was stored? Because its a pretty good chance it was taken by someone they know or a friend of a friend. On another note, even if the property was found how can he prove ownership though? I assume through somehow showing the relationship of the boxes to the actual item.

might be better to have prints though. lol

standish area...far enough in the sticks to be near the cannibal I lived in.

j/k.. but when maine goes back to the maine I know, like now... it could be your own grandmother.

and that happened too...

anyway, it is a small world, and a small theiving. Someone could sit on that until they know its ok to peek their head out, or just go someplace else.. and HID are so bright, they are unethical, if not illegal.

I am missing a whole strut assembly, while everything else got left alone... it coincides with a mention on the internet.
