Stupid Red Sox.

I left home for work, and I was watching the Sox.

I get to work hoping to stream the game live from a radio website, and I learn that the Sox don't allow online streaming of their games.

It's called "new media", people. Embrace it!

I don't think that it has anything to do with the Red Sox, I believe that all "streaming audio/video" content of MLB games is controlled by MLB and they want us to pay for it. WEEI out of Boston streamed the games from their website a few years ago but they don't offer it anymore.

Edited to say that this makes it tough being a Sox fan living in LA.

My wife showed me the "Game Day" feature at the MLB site. It's kinda ghetto, but you get pitch-by-pitch updates of the game as it happens. I "watched" the end of the game this way, and in a pinch, it's better than a bag of badgers over the head. Not by much, though.

Last season I went back and forth between the MLB pitch-by-pitch and the version from ESPN. They can get frustrating though because they will tell you that "the incoming pitch has been hit into play" and then nothing for 5 minutes.

I will say, living half a mile from Angels stadium does makes it easier to see the Sox when they come to town. There are always day-of, walk-up tickets for under $20 and you can bring in your own food.

Nice, I saw the sox there for $8.00. Ended up moving right behind home plate. Nice stadium...
