Subiemods poor customer service

Twice now I've experienced poor customer service from Subiemods. The first time was with a Rallitek sway kit. Their website said "in stock" so I ordered them. Turns out they weren't in stock and ended up contacting Subiemods multiple times as I hadn't gotten any shipping info. I never received a call back but did eventually receive an e-mail with a tracking number for the item. For the next week I checked the tracking for the package but every time the UPS site would say a label has been created for the item and they would update the shipping once the package was scanned. I contacted Subiemods about this. The first few times I called I was told they were going to be in touch with Rallitek and get back to me with the estimated shipping date. Again they never got back to me. The final time I called they said they were waiting on a e-mail from Rallitek. While I was on the phone with them they miraculously found the e-mail and were able to tell me an actual shipping date. The package then did arrive as they stated and that was that. This was last month.

More recently I called them inquiring about some Epic Engineering springs. I spoke with Nick and asked about a special that subiemods had held on here last summer wondering if it was still available. I was told it wasn't. I had been on their site and again the site stated they had the springs I was looking for "in stock". I asked them to check if that was the case and it wasn't, the site was wrong yet again. I asked how long it would take to get them from their warehouse and shipped to me. I had called last wednesday and was hoping to get them on friday. Nick couldn't give me that info then but took my number and said he'd get back to me and let me know how soon I would be able to get them. It's now Sunday and I still haven't heard from them.

I had a bad experience the first time but was still willing to work with them again. Now I've been disappointed by their customer service again and have every reason to believe any future business will only result in a similar result. I would love to be able to recommend this company to others but as I have yet to have a good experience with them I don't see this happening. I know every experience is different and others may have had a great experience with Subiemods but I think it's important people are made aware of both the good and the bad of a company's reputation.

I find when ordering car parts or anything else these days you have to speak directly to a sales rep and ask are" these" parts in stock in your wharehouse in Ct. or wherever or will they be dropped shipped directly from the manufacturer. In todays economy most businesses can`t afford to stock everything they show available from their site. Not getting back to you in a reasonable time is another matter.

I had a similar experience with a RalliTek sway kit. It took three weeks from time of order to time of delivery on my door step. Communication on the customer service end was poor, both via email and over the phone. I also expierenced the not really "in stock" website issue. Over-all, there are so many vendors out there for Subaru parts, that Subimods has lost my business in favor of a better customer service experience.
