Tale of two bikes.

So it looks like the yamaha is going to sell tonight, so I thought I would take a few pics with its replacement. Its a suzuki v-strom. Love the new strom! Long travel suspension for ****ty roads, great ergos for all day in the saddle, and sweet v-twin music. It also will play in the dirt, If the need arises.

I would love to check out that Suzuki someday. I was doing a little research earlier this summer, and thought that or the 1000 (1100?) would make a great all around bike.

It is such a great machine, it does so many different things well. I went with the 650 because it felt lighter on teh road and the engine is smoother, also its dead reliable. It has plenty of power for the wife and I. Someone said to me when I was looking into the 1000 or the 650

"haven't we learned yet that driving something slow, fast is way more satisfying than driving something fast, slow.

I was thinking the bigger bike would be better for 2 up. We are not even close to ready to do it yet, but were talking about transporting a bike in the back of the truck on our future vacations to use for commuting.
