Tempory road side signs.

Chris

YARRR SUBY MONSTER!!
So I'm rip**** mad right now...

They just repaved my road, which is great, but there's all these wood warning signs stuck into the ground on the side of the road. Still there after the road is done. Anyway, today I was driving to town in my Legacy. And there was an ambulance coming toward me, the car infront of it didn't really pull off the road, so I had to pull pretty far off the road and scratched up the whole right side of my car pretty bad. So I'm wicked pissed about that. Should I complain to the town? hospital? paving company? Will their insurance pay to fix it, or is it hopeless and I should just deal with it myself?

This is just so ridiculous!!!!! grrrr:rant:

rewind videotape of incident, only this time when the ambulance comes along, run right over the signs instead of sideswiping em

dunno what you can do, start with the town and see where that leads

I'm really tempted to take my GL and mow them down... If I had gone any further off the road I'd have probably lost a wheel or 2 and bent some suspension. It wouldn't have been good.

Only if you're caught, or theres an emergency.

Sorry Chris. Good news is now you have a big reason to repaint the car the color you always wanted.

I'd love to paint my car. Just don't have monies for it right now. I'm thinking a good buff and wax and most of it will buff out. Still a crappy situation though. It isn't like the rest of the paint on the car has taken a beating from last winter. At least it'll be off the road in the worst of the snow this winter. So that's good.

Unfortunately for you no one will have to pay.
that does suck.

on the way to winterport through hampden they got the grand canyon open and a sign 3 feet from it telling people "bump"

I hit that so hard the car jumped out the other side.. all four wheels.(55mph speed limit)

ironically.. I was out to snap at the chassis, first ride after welds... letting it rumble into resonance takes forever. I can't even complain about the grand canyon jump.

this is at least 3 times they have done this in recent years.. and i SMASH it every freakin time.. in the dark...

they wonlt pay if anyhting broke, gotta make a car that don't break.

So I was browsing and remembered this thread. Not overly long after all this happened I avenged my Legacy's scratches with my GL. I was headed home well after midnight, it was dark, nobody was on the road. So I turned around, ran the offending sign over. Turned back around and headed home.

Ya you have to be careful. This is an open forum and there appears to be a lot of people that don`t post just "browse" and we really don`t know who they are ie: cops, insurance companies etc. If you do physical damage and brag about it you could get screwed. If you say you did a certain speed on a certain road and get called on it you can always plead it was BS. The worst thing to do is post a picture of your speedometer in triple digits as I saw on a recent thread.
