Well, the old wagon has thoroughly earned a new nickname: "Rusty" As I was taking a few interior pieces out to size up a new rear strut brace, I notices a few blemishes, that after a few hits with a slag hammer turned into two foot wide holes in my strut towers. I decided to take the rest of the interior out, and wasn't pleased with what I found. So, I decided the car's time as a daily driver is limited, and decided to seam weld the chassis, and begin on a true Barn-Built Rally car. It's been in the works for about 4 weeks now on an off. The plan is to finish all the prep for racing, then daily drive it until I have money for safety equipment. It's been a fun project so far, and I thought I'd show you guys what I've been up to. Hopefully by this time next summer it will have a full cage, and be up on a trailer instead of the road.
