so i walked out side this morning and looked up and this is what i saw. a circular rainbow around the sun.

High moisture content up there? I've seen that before on the boat, when we were surrounded by fog, but the rainbow was all around the boat

in weather lore, this phenom is known as a "sun dog" cause it follows the sun around.

kind of like a ring aroung the moon, it generally portends crappy weather.
