You know,the people that email you about the car you have for sale,and in the ad you put all the info like mileage,etc,and then they ask for that same info again.You tell them,and they go "Oh,I'm afraid the mileage is too high for me."....... >

Yes,Pedro,you timewaster.How dare you ask me why I'm selling my car!! How dare you!! ;D

The ones that are worse are those kids that call about the car,and say they are coming,and then either back out last minute or never even show.I've had that happen a few times,but I've gotten better at weeding people out on the phone.I never screw my plans up waiting for people anymore.

My bitching about the mileage thing is just,well....it's in the ad!!! How serious can you be to email a guy 2-3 times about the car without even reading the damn ad the first time,or looking at it again?!?!! If 135k miles on a 1993 model car is too high for you(?),wouldn't you have ruled that out when you saw the ad? People are weird.

 
People are just LAZY. Not that reading is a lot of work but you are correct. When I sold my STI Catback I even got Email asking for pictures. You guys saw the add it had plenty of pics, year, miles and what car it was on. WTF over!!!

 
When I was selling my boat a guy called and wanted to come see it on a Sat. like 1pm. So I asked my wife if she would sit at the shop for awhile so I could meet the fellow. She comes to the shop, I go home, and wait. 1 1/2 hrs later I go back to the shop. He didn't show. A few days pass and this strange vehicle comes driving into my yard one evening. It's the guy. He had gotten directions previously and just came up unexpected to me.

Being in the retail business I have learned to expect a few "tirekickers" before you get a real sale.

Oh....if you talk to Jeff,see if he wants to go halfs on a 94 volvo 850 for $800 w/a 5spd tranny and 150k miles.He can have the engine and rest of the car,and I'll take the tranny.
