Alright, so this article is pretty elementary but still a good read kept me interested during class today anyway...

Another sign I discovered of engine failure (in a friend's escort) is when the engine starts making a really loud clicky sound, then some car shuddering clunks, then a billow of steam from under the hood it is a bad thing.

That generally means that the engine commit suicide and has 2 holes in the block....

that was hilarious ....

hahaha - yeah i would tend to agree that those symptoms in ANY car is a bad thing

ya know. these online bloggers and their saintliness is crazy as a vtec...

example, multiple choices besides engine trouble:

A tapping or popping, for instance, could indicate detonation taking place within the engine's cylinders.

that may as well be..

A. muffler leaking blinker fluid as a possible cause.

B. a full relief in one or more of four locations if you are running a trochoid aviators oil pump ...

C. it's a diesel, live with it.

D. turn off the nitros next time.

E. all of the above.

or...

learn your own car. Finding generalizations from online buttheads (most likely paid) is not a way to go.

obd2 for new, and still unique instructions for your car...

I know that a lot of things in the article could be false and/or could be caused by other things; however I still enjoyed the read.

I was hoping to get some conversation going about this and everyone can pick it apart and have some good chats about what is right and wrong about it and laugh at how preposterous it is. Granted there are some things that could be true, most of it like you said is

I was not posting this as a "how to" for anyone to go by, hence posting it in the general chat section. I simply thought that it was a fun read to pass some time and laugh at. Thought that I would pass it on for other fine folks on the forum to read and have fun with and chat about.

edit: not trying to invoke controversy, just explaining my rationale
