TORNADO IN NEW ENGLAND

A tornado went through Springfield Mass alittle while ago. Saw it on the weather channel. Getting a little too close for my liking.

There was some action in Worcester above shrewsbury st in Worcester but nothing touched down

I've survived a lot recently... rapture, thunderstorm today, severe hail, high winds. I'm sure I'll be fine if a tornado comes through...

That mini tornado that went through oxford last year started a mile from where I was sitting watching the storm

macho man is looking out for us....RIP

When we were 1st told about the tornado watch here there was one funnel cloud spotted 5-10 miles west. Watched the clouds out the kitchen window that way & from oustide. Freakiest clouds Ive ever seen, weirdest storm Ive ever seen. Watched as a group clustered & started to form a funnel but it stayed way up & shifted east. Guess 3 funnel clouds were reported in Newport/Palmyra with the fire dept set on alert but don't think any of those touched down either. NE on tornado alert with two in Mass, the wife's gonna push to move back to WA state again lol

Ok...the so called "tornado" that went through Mass wasn't a "tornado". If anything it was a Microburst. It wasn't classified as an F1 so therefor no Tornado! But its still freaky to see!!!

I remember last summer a confirmed tornado (F-1) touched down in the town I live in. At the time I was living with my wife in her parents house while our house was in the building process. It literally came right through where we were building. Fortunately, we didn't have the structure up yet. There was quite a bit of damage with limbs/trees down, but other than that everything was ok. It was still freaky though. It came on all of a sudden. The sky turned pitch black, almost like night, and the winds picked up, it literally howled, and the rain was sideways. I've never seen anything like it. I can't even begin to imagine what an F-5 experience is like. I feel for all the people down south who have lost everything.

Back around 1989-90 while we were living in Carmel N.Y. the wife and I experieced a small tornado. I know it was a friday because we were returning home after eating at " Cheers " in Brewster. We were on rte.6 by the plaza when the sky turned green and then we saw all the cars in front of us disappear as a wall of water just engulfed them . We were in my 89 SHO and as it hit us the car violently rocked and then was over in 15 seconds. When we reached home all power was out because the top of the electric poles were all snapped off. The tornado just missed our house by 100 yards. There was only minor damage to some houses ad trees down in its path. Thank God it was only an F-1 and the worst was no power for 2 days.
