Turbo? Injectors?

I've been acquiring parts for an STi setup on my LGT. I've spent countless hours on the LGT forums searching about different turbos and injectors. I don't what any more turbo lag than factory- I'm a V8 guy, like low end power

. My thoughts were a big Td05-16g with a walbro 255 and maybe stock injectors? I've heard both sides of the injector issues on the LGT forum. Some guys say you need to upgrade injectors with a 16g. Some are running an 20g with stock injectors. I'm not looking to squeeze every bit of power out of this thing. It is a daily driver and I need to keep it somewhat reliable. More power = heavier foot, more abuse. I know that there would be more potential with injectors. Any thoughts? I also don't want to spend a ton of money on this. I have other projects that need finishing...

first and foremost, just because someone says they CAN do something, doesn't mean its right. you should probly have some sort of upgraded injectors to be running a 20g. as for your setup, i hear good things about the 16g EVO III, a bit different than the standard 16g. as for injectors, sti pinks should be more than sufficient, and they are cheap enough. as for your choice in fuel pump, the walbro is spot on, and they can be had new for under $80 from importimage. the install is a snap.

save you money for in the future and just get some Duetch works 700 cc injectors that will be plenty for you and they are not omg expensive. Plus, I have a 20g on my car and spool up is really really quick. I think you would be happy with it from a low rpm standpoint.

I agree it's worth the extra few dollars to get some 650 or 750cc injectors. People do max out stock STI injectors on vf39. The 16g, especially the evoIII variant will out flow the vf39 all day.

get a VF52, walbro, and some 09 wrx injectors, modify a stage2 09 wrx tune, you won't be sorry

still get all that low end power, with STi mid and top end...

to be honest, you could probably skip injectors, but since you'll be taking your stockers to levels they haven't seen, i'd be safe rather than sorry and score some out of an 09...

I already have a Wrx manifold, larger STi tmic (not sure on brand, bought it used), y-pipe, and Turbosmart 50/50 bov. I would like to use them.

in that case, if you want to do a 16G, i'd say slap it on there, run a conservative tune, and see where your injectors max out. if you need them, you need them
