Can I take a td04 with the wastegate and have someone cover where the wastegate went because i have a 16g that has a internal and I can't find a td05 manifold that I like

 
I'm guessing this if for your Honda?

Are you running an external Wastegate? I have seen for the WRX an external wastegate setup and it said it came with a clamp to keep the td04 wastegate shut, so without more details and trying figure our what you mean, I guess there answer is yes, somewhere out there, there is a clamp that will keep the internal wastergate shut on a td04.

 
let me take a look at it... you can wire it shut so you can run open or you could just get a devorced open wastegate downpipe and weld a divider inbetween... why dont you get a t3/t4 manifold and get an addaptor for the 16g or just get a bigger turbo? that way you could run a 38mm tial on it.

are you getting boost creep? if not then you have no reason to go open wastegate.

no different just more accurate boost and louder.

louder as in open header louder... just fyi

 
Pat does have a point.. want to go stealth, don't get into boost very far. Probably similar to a cut-out, and can be a more affordable option for most. I just dont think you could get an inspection sticker that way.

there are ways... most inspection places would have no idea if you piped it out the fenders... I know a lot of people with them and they are not open at idle or a light load they would never know what it is... not like they are gonna open your hood.
