I "might" buy a 2002 GTI 337, I think it needs a clutch... Under spirited throttle and accelleration the car bucks slightly in the 3K-4K range. Under constant throttle at that RPM it runs perfectly smooth.

anyway the question is... Who could do a clutch install and how much would it cost me? Beer and Pizza for the labor and rough $ on a good clutch.

That setup was recommended to me buy a guy with an '04 GLI modified with the same engine/drivetrain as the 337

I used to own a 04.5 GLI, 1.8T 6 speed.

It shouldn't buck.

It should be smooth and do everything you ask it to just like you'd want a 6 speed to do. You might be experiencing wheel hop or engine mount issues (common) but I think you are experienced enough to know whether its that or clucth.
