well after the huge sucess of the eagle one wax as you dry i figured i would pick up some of there wheel cleaner. i got the etching mag wheel cleaner. well big mistake. what i usually do is spray it on the wheel and wipe it clean with a cloth.l never found the spray and hose off method to be very affective. well with this stuff it leaves a massive white residue that's actually hard to get off making your wheels look worse than when you started. im definatly not a fan and going back to meguires

Eagle one etching should only be used on old cruddy wheels - you have a new car. Just keep the wheels clean & polished.

yup i relize that now

you HAVE to hose this stuff off.

I use a scrub brush and a rag to clean the wheel, then hose it off.

the stuff has acid in it, so you should go hose your wheels down. like NOW!

Yeah, there are warnings all over the bottles, cans...etc, about getting it off your wheels in a specific amount of time. I have used mothers aluminum polish and it has a pretty generous grace period so your wheels don't go to $%.

uuuhhhhhh. its called: eagle one ETCHING wheel cleaner.

this stuff is def for really old cruddy wheels. its going to take off a layer of the finish. but use it only once they at the point of no return, and you cant get them cleaner with soap and water. im not even sure i would use this stuff at all on anything painted.

you may have etched the paint permanently. hope you didn't ruin them.

I spray WD-40 onto a rag, then clean/polish the wheels. Works great and keeps things from sticking to the rims after you clean them; also will help prevent rust if the finish chips!
