With the state and towns hurting for money there seems to be an upswing in tickets especially in Sanford. Yesterday when I was leaving my office a cop went screaming by about 70 in an 35 mphy zone. I passed him with his pullover and then a little further up another cop with a pull over. I believe they think the more tickets they give out would be more job security for them. About half way thru town I saw a cop behind me and I made sure I was doing the 25 or 35 as he followed me to the northern end of town on 109 before he turned around. On one occasion he pulled up tight to my rear, maybe the combination of 4" tips and PZEV confused him.

Ticket money goes to the state not the department. Tickets usually pick up because people whine about something in the area.

Are you telling me when a Sanford cop writes a ticket the town of Sanford doesn`t get a cut of the fine ?

 
Parking tickets go to the town.... Speeding ticket fine go to the Secretary of States.

 
So far so good in the M. I still have no inspection sticker at all and no front plate and I fly under the radar.

 
Why would you not just go get inspected??? You can't tell me it wont pass. that's a silly ticket to get stuck with for no good reason.

 
I finally got a brand new set of tires on yesterday which was the last thing needed for inspection. I will go sometime this week.

 
haha I hope you get bagged on your way home today for no sticker! It didn't have one from the state you got it in? If so it is good for up to 6 months.

I am tempted to copy the "pzev"....

it is rather comical to ponder 40mpg... 20 years older

and the name of the car model is two whole letters: "GL"

The sight of police and traffic infractions is good.. the harley plague may stay calmer. Once a car gets a reputation for something bad (like the backifiring turbo sube) it is as if they ALL do it, and can become a target... not all that fair is it.
