Went on a little drive today....

Took a drive with the fam today. We went up through Newport and headed to Willimantic, which is a small town next to Sebec Lake. I used to go up there all the time when I was younger to hunt. My family is good friends with the Packards who had a set of sporting camps right in Wilimantic. It was cool to see all the places I haven't been in years. My car got quite dirty today and will now need a wash!! Here are some pics....

Yeah it was a good drive. I got to play with a highly modified turbo diesel truck on the highway......I think I ended up having more fun in the end:lol:

There was a good mix of sun and clouds during the whole drive. It actually was getting cloudy again on the way home, but at least it was nice and warm all day

 
Good pics man. I almost bought a place on 350 acres in Willimantic 20 years ago. They wanted too much money and wouldn`t budge.

Thanks! There is a lot of cheap land up there!! But 350 acres is a lot!! It's really quiet up there too!! My cousin used to have a camp up there, but sold it a few years ago.

 
NO , 350 acres on the lake is big bucks, this was maybe 1/2 mile away.

Hmmm, I can't think of the place, but there a few big places up there, probably just isn't called that now.
