Hey, long time no subaru for me! I've been looking to buy a new (to me) scoob! I dont really know too many of you on here, but i used to have a SRP 2.5rs that i sold over a year ago. Anyways I'm down in FL right now but i am coming back up to Maine soon, Bar Harbor again for the summer then probably Portland next fall. I was thinking of picking up a southern subie and driving it home. Found this one in GA, what do you guys think? Honestly the intake scares me, but the mileage is really low.

If this one doesn't work out, I'll hopefully find something else before Auto-X starts up. I was looking for swapped GC's for a while but those are kinda tough to come by.

That looks like a sweet deal. And they dont have sand and salt peltering the cars in GA. Run a CARFAX and make sure it wasn't flood damaged, then buy it!

I bartended at Testa's the last few summers, I'll probably go back there this year. I didn't have my RS last summer so I'm not sure who you saw. But we def get Atlantic Brewing stuff every week so maybe I'll see you this summer.

well i usually get there about 10am on the regular delivery day, and i deal with the boss man mostly.

we have a new sales guy this summer no more luke, central is like the weather...dont like the salesman? wait five minutes it will change.

I called the dealership just a second ago. The intake is K&N short ram, it has an invidia DP and stock axelback. Tires are almost new, no paint chips. The guy i spoke with on the phone used to have a WRX wagon and was telling me about the exhaust he used to use, etc. Which was kind of a pleasant surprise, I expected limited subaru knowledge from the saleman.

I'll probably go check it out this weekend

It might still have some time left on the powertrain warranty. Def few enough miles, depends on the actual original delivery date.

Ended up buying it. There are some weird things about it, for instance no washer fluid tank, and it has a td04 turbo. Hmm, i meant to check the turbo when I originally looked at it, but i forgot. I was blinded by the WRB sexiness. My guess is the prior owners vf39 blew up and he found a td04 cheap or something like that. I got it from a stealership so they didnt know anything about previous owner. I drove it home never going to redline or WOT, and just occasionally did a little throttle to 4500. Pretty much drove like my grandmother, but that's a good thing.

Went a little crazy ordering stuff so i can actually drive it like its supposed to..

vf39, boost gauge, AP, cbe, getting a custom map from clark turner on nabisco for 150 (pretty good deal i think- i tell him my mods he sends me a map, i get logs, he double checks and fixes any issues till its all gravy), probly gonna bet a BCS too.

I'm pretty much reserving any excitement about owning this car till i get that stuff in. I do love the steering ratio, seats, tranny and suspension though. I cant afford anything else for a long time now but hopefully i can swing some springs/sways over the summer for autox. GF210's are had for under 200 i think

So you are going to be back for autoX this summer?

Too bad James is going to be in England this year.

Yea I am, although its tough for me to make every event since I live far away. I have plenty of places to crash down there so i can make it happen.

You know that James wants to bring his subie to Europe so he can drive the ring?? hahaha
