Which Downpipe?

Looking for a decent downpipe, will spend some money on one.

Looking at something not to loud, cops are retarded in York/Ogunquit.

What's your opinion on:

HKS

Invidia v3

I think with a nice DP your car should sound pretty sick. Nice rumble but not to loud. I am looking for a Turbo XS stealth muffler to replace my RFL one so I can quieten mine down some.

hks, if i read correctly on nasioc, is not generally regarded for making good downpipes.

i personally, am running an invidia divorced, catted V3. nice fitment, good quality. find one used on nasioc, or ebay, and pull the trigger. good stuff.

HKS is like stock in that it has no provision for the wastegate. It is a larger diameter pipe and catless, however it is less than ideal. There are plenty better options for little to any more cost ie the Invidia you have listed.

Cant go wrong with invidia. My Titek is very nice too

mine as well to go with the biggest one they make...turboxs 4 in belmouth. sounds nice, fits nice and(o yea) i am selling mine:D

Surprised no one has mention the Cobb catted downpipe. If you've got the money, this is an excellent choice. Cobb makes quality stuff and their catted DP is no exception.

Definitely go with a high flow cat too, so you don't have to deal with failing inspection

cause cobb tapers down to 2.5" to fit stock parts but i would go with a maddad v2 one piece dp fitment is great and it looks like it has 2 cats but there is only 1 high flow cat for inspection time

I was told by some tuners one Doug of TopSpeed in GA. He was featured in this months Import Tuner. That the Turbo XS DP was one of the best you can buy. His shop did most of the work on my car before I moved up here. I have been in there place about 4 times. They are good people down there. The car they had featured in the mag I got to see in person coupld of times thing is awsome.

It is a 4" at the Bellmouth and tapers to 3"

From what I have been told the divorced pipe helps with boost spike.

I have the whole Turbo XS system. I have never had any problem with getting inspected. I put the hi flow in for inspections then put the race pipe back in after.

When I got inspected last month I ask the shop if I could get inspected without the hi flow cat and they said as long as the car was not super loud then it is not a problem up here.

where do you goto get inspected cause when i went to get mine done last week they told me my catback was on the line and it was not loud at all

its generally a good idea to go divorced wastegate if possible, all things being equal. the TXS pipe may be one of the better ones out there, but i'd still rather have a bell mouth w/ divorce. separate flow for sections flowing at different times, in different directions and at different speeds is always a good idea.
