Who here has rebuilt a tranny?

Hey,all....after some serious searching for a reasonably priced used RS tranny for my 99 coupe without success,I think I'm going to have to rebuild the one I have. One problem,I've never done anything close to that big a job. Anyone have any advice,OR,any northerners feel like helping me out? Thanks

I know ECS is starting to do tranny builds, and their head mechanic can do anything!

sorry dude, i would only have a tranny rebuilt by someone certified. i know you're scrambling for a solution right now, but chances are you'll end up with a pile of gears and still scrambling. i'd keep looking for a new tranny, or find a different tranny and pair it with a new rear diff
