Who here uses the ScanGuage11 and how accurate is it? Im looking to buy one, anyone have any imputs?

I have one mounted and it is a wonderful tool!

There is a sec or 2 of lag time between when something happens, and when the SG shows it. Like speed, RPM, etc. But it is a very accurate and a good tool for anyone who has an old OBD2 car.

 
can you completely turn off the check engine light.. i have cleared it before with my friends mac tools clearer but it came back 2 days later. same thing with it came to the battery trick. takes about a day to re-learn. I want something that will completely turn off the check engine light so it wont come up every two days. will the scanguage11 do that. i know it can clear it but will it get rid of it for good?

 
no, it will not clear it for good. Just make it go away till the computer wants it back.

 
what do they mean by storing up to 10 or 11 special codes in the scanguage11. do you know of any codes, or could anyone explain what that exactly means please. and whats the deal with hp rating. does it cost anything to add the hp rating on your SG? I want to make sure i get my money worth.

 
I believe the HP rating is estimated by how much air and fuel the engine is using, and some other factors to tell you approx how many HP you are using from the engine.

The 10 codes I'm not 100% on. You can use it to do things like manually turn on and off the radiator fans if you enter some special coding into the coding console. I have never tried it though.

but I believe the 10 or 11 codes is so after you enter something into the console you can save it for easy access later.

 
I scan guages too, with my eyeballs.
