Who's good with body work/fiberglass

I will get pics, but I have a set of front spats that fit my Forester. I got them for cheap last year because they have some damage to them. There are a very rare part especially in the U.S. so I really want to install them but need them fixed first. I don't have much to offer, but would love it if someone was willing to help me get them back into shape who knows what they are doing! I'll get some pics up ASAP and hopefully someone will chime in!!

Ok here are some pics of the damage.

And what it basically supposed to look like. (Even though this one has a slight crack)

Hmmm, may have to try that. I don't even have a soldering iron!! Thanks for the link Dan

If it were me, I'd just use ABS cement to fill in the scuffs and smooth it out, then that crack, I'd pack behind it with ABS cement and try and fill the hole a bit. Then sand sand sand. Then again, I have no patience for body work so I do the quick and good enough route...

Any idea is better than no idea I guess.

Well actually I like the sounds of your idea!! I am the same way, and have no patience with body work. I just have to find some of the ABS cement now!

Well I picked up a soldering iron and some ABS plastic epoxy cement stuff, so hopefully I will be able to make them good again!!

So I got them bonded back together and sanded down pretty good, and even have some paint on them. The worst one, will need some more attention in the future, probably with some bondo. But for now, they are good enough!

Shouldn't have used bondo is correct! It won't stick well to that abs plastic and eventually flake off even if sanded really well. Fiberglass isn't the answer either. Not a lot of stuff will stick to abs plastic well. I would use a heat gun and a sharp razor knife to fix that scuff and the abs plastic cement dan was talking about to fix the cracks! Good luck.

It's all fixed with ABS cement and plastic welding., But I need different rocker panels to install them
