why is it so hard to find the right rims?

Ok heres the deal, i have been looking for rims for my 08 2.5i. (17 X 7.5). Maybe im not looking in the right places, but why is it so hard to find a reasonable set? any ideas where i should look? only reason i am putting on new rims is because i want to use the stock ones for winter use and I really want to use up all the tires I have lying around from my other car. I would kill for some gold rims but it looks like most manufactures that do that color im looking at 400+ per rim. Was thinking about finding 04 sti rims but no luck there. Should have bought them in 05 when people were trying to give them away. lol

 
the main problem is that subaru has a really high offset, usually up around 40-50 whereas VW and audi (also 5x100) have one around 30. pretty much the only wheels that will properly fit a subaru are ones that are made for a subaru. or you can rock audi-designed wheels and have a sweet stance:

these are still sitting in my basement until i put in the effort to bump the thread :thumbsup:

if your looking for a nice set of gold 17x7.5 wheels.... then i say jump on those rotas..... NOW! before i snag them up for winter wheels haha. what colors your car?

spark silver, figure gold wold look good, but with my luck im probably have to wait until the first of the year to get some rims. Damn student loans
