my wireless setup only goes about half as far as i need it to. its already a wireless N setup (netgear) and has a unidirectional antenna. unfortunately i cant move it any closer to where my laptop usually is, but is there anything else i can do?

is there any sort of unit that will receive wireless signals and rebroadcast them or something? i have access to power between the router and the laptop.

802.11n has a pretty long range, How far away are you? ( or whos wireless are you trying to steal

I have heard of a MIMO wireless card which helps boost signal range and speed, but I'm not sure how it works or if it is compatible with n technology.

the wireless is mine, hence why i have my wireless router connected to it, but whats there isn't cutting it. i'd like about another 50-75ft out of it. the problem is that the router is on the far side of the house and the signal is about half by the time i'm across the house and is non-existent outside.

redline, that's along the lines of what i'm looking for but i'd like to find something that doesn't require a ethernet input. i'd have to buy a crazy long ethernet cable that would run from the far side of the house across the length of the basement so that its a little closer. there is power outlets i could use, but no other ethernet hookups.
