woofer + stock radio = ?

friend of mine wants to install an amp and sub, but wants to retain the stock stereo in his '03 rex and I was thinking about going this route as well. Possible? Easiest way to do so?

The amp will have a hi voltage input. you use that and splice into a speaker wire. just note that this isn't the preferred way to do it. I only did it once in a situation like yours for a friend.

If it does get replaced, I can get a single din and do that slot with a door mod, right?

you can get a high low converter to run an amp with your stock radio. i have a sub, all different speakers and two amps with the stock head unit. i would be happy to show anyone who would like to see how it is done. just message me. :thumbsup:
