Hey guys,

I may have the opportunity to work in sales at a dealership here in the Portland area. However, neither I nor anybody I know has any real experience in this line of work so I want more information. Any of you guys have any pros and cons?

Thanks for any help,

Dylan

I know that patriot subaru is looking for sales team members..

What would you be doing. I work at prime Toyota.
I still have yet to see your car lol,you hide that thing? I am there at least once a day

sorry to hijack carry on

I know that sales can be a win/ lose deal depending on how much you sell each week. Maybe different dealerships are different.

There everyday , parked way out back and I'm the last bay on the right with all the Subaru stuff on the bench.

Yeah I have pretty much heard that you get back however much you put in, which I like. I have a second interview next week, I will keep yall posted. Any more pros and cons out there?

My advice, "Treat your customers the way you would want to be treated during a sale... know your product..... go into it with long term goals.... there is no thing as a regular schedule (just hope your better half understands) oh....Treat your customers the way you would want to be treated during a sale!" Its a up and down business, take the good months with the bad months and don't get down on yourself. Don't be a snake on the floor, this will come back to bite you in the ass. Lots of money can be made. It is a fun business. 14th year in auto sales and lovin it!
