wrx break-in period?

from what ive read its 1000 miles. is that official or just recmmended. also do they run less boost until broken-in, ive test drove 2 and they didnt feel like a mid 13 sec car. ive had a turbo civic before and it pulled way harded with 13psi. i know weight and drive wheels make a difference.

chyea, 1000 i've read as well. AWD is a much different feeling from FWD. you'll learn to appreciate it and realize just how fast your car is.

ps go stage 2 and you'll REALLY appreciate it

 
the biggets thing is to make sure you change our speeds and revs. dont keep it hanging at one rev for too long. i just broke myne in to 1k mile son the way up to the rally. yeah!!!

 
turbo civics feel way faster but in the longrun id take the wrx cause while the civics sits there and spins through 3rd you are already down the track and definately go stage 2
