WTB: 2.5 longblock

The wife's motor grenaded, I need a new longblock. Going to look at the local junkyards and then Ebay. Anything local would be better, it's for an '05 LGT turbo

 
Unknown, it's at Evergreen right now and they have gotten as far as a compression and a leak down test so I am going to bring it up to a guy I know and see whats up after he pulls the motor.

A longblock is out, they are in the 3500-4500 range. Way too high for me

 
Rad, best of luck with the car, I know exactly how you feel, I went through the same thing in December. Hopefully you caught it early enough so that some stuff is salvageable.

close this thread pls, I have sourced a longblock as a backup and am going to get the motor pulled and hopefully rebuilt. Thanks for the input, esp Dan:)

Glad things are working out for you. I was at Evergreen today and my heart sank when I saw your LGT there, because I know exactly how it feels.
